Clearwater Nursery has been operating in Nipomo, CA since its beginning in 1986. Located in this ideal microclimate for floriculture, Clearwater supplies supermarkets nationwide with premium potted flowering plants throughout the entire year.

Clearwater grows approximately 80 different varieties of chrysanthemums, which represent nearly two thirds of its total sales. It also grows Asiatic lilies, begonias, calla lilies, mini carnations, chenille, cinerarias, cyclamen, daffodils, Easter lilies, exacum, gerbera daisies, hibiscus, hyacinth, hydrangeas, kalanchoes, poinsettias, primulas, and tulips. In addition to plant production, Clearwater's active Research and Development program has bred and patented several unique varieties of chrysanthemums, which are now being produced by growers all over the United States, Europe, and South America.

By providing consistent product quality and excellent service to its customers, Clearwater has grown from its initial size of 40,000 square feet to its current size of 1,525,000 square feet of state-of-the-art greenhouse facilities. The use of technology and automation has enabled Clearwater to produce top quality plants while efficiently using both natural and human resources.

As a major contributor to the local community and its economy, Clearwater provides jobs to over 200 people in various full-time management, sales, marketing, administrative, horticultural, and general labor positions. Clearwater's participation in local fundraising events and its continuing support of local business remain a high priority.
