Speedling's Nipomo location serves as headquarters for the California Division, and boasts a state-of-the-art 35-acre growing facility. Constructed in 1992, and utilizing a patented sub-irrigation system, this system not only aids in disease prevention, but also recycles irrigation water and collects rainwater to supplement the water supply.

Speedling has three other nurseries in California: Watsonville, San Juan Bautista, and Bakersfield. Combined, the California Division produces well over 500,000,000 vegetable and ornamental plugs and pots per year.
